About The Book

Manny Long Ears is a delightful early reader about a goat with exceptionally long ears-and an exceptional mind. When a biplane nearly crashes into his field because of hidden gopher holes, Manny overhears the pilot and mechanic discussing the problem. Determined to help, Manny comes up with a solution: he and his goat friends will eat the grass short, leaving it long only around the holes so pilots can see and avoid them.

Only problem? His goat family and friends are too lazy to help. So, Manny, true to his word, does it all himself. But his cleverness doesn't stop there-when pilots later need to know which way the wind is blowing, Manny's long ears become a perfect windsock. His smart ideas not only make landings safer but inspire the invention of the now-famous airport windsock.

About The Author

Bob, Boomerang: - "Boomerang Bob" is an American-born writer who now calls Australia home. Married to Nadine, who grew up in Perth, Bob enjoys exploring the country in their caravan, discovering inspiration in the landscapes and communities they visit. A passionate reader and occasional poet-one of his poems was published in an American anthology-Bob also delights in creating lyrics to familiar tunes. The character "Manny Long Ears" was born from one such moment of musical playfulness. Bob is currently working on several short stories, including tales of a mischievous leprechaun and a curious bear living in a Polish forest. Stay tuned for more of his imaginative stories, coming soon from Bowerbird Publishing.
