Brown: - "Kristy Nita Brown is an Australian author and creative entrepreneur who writes children's stories full of heart, humour and curiosity. Her debut novel, Looking for Lily, was shortlisted for the West Australian Young Readers' Book Award, and her Mavey and Beth's Double Act series has been celebrated at major children's literature events, with The Hole Truth winning first place in the 2025 Children and Young Adult Competition. With a background in education and media, Kristy works across writing, teaching and creative projects that champion young voices. She is the founder of Book Builders Challenge, an in-schools program that helps young people write, illustrate and publish their own books. When she's not telling stories or working with young writers, Kristy plays the flute and the drums - and firmly believes that ice cream is a vital ingredient in a creative life."

Mutton, Alison: - Alison Mutton studied illustration and design at Curtin University and has been illustrating books for kids big and small since 2008. She works from a tiny studio in her back yard, supervised by her dog Myrna, and when she's not drawing she likes to play the piano, needle felt and dance the Lindy Hop.
