A funny, emotionally honest picture book for ages 4-8 about waiting, expectations, and big feelings. After a messy art project ends in paint-splattered kittens, Mama Cat starts bath time and casually mentions ice pops. The twins take her words seriously. The big problem? No ice pops. Everything's sticky, literally and emotionally. The kittens almost melt down, but Mama Cat holds everyone together until the heroic Daddy Cat finally returns, ice pops in hand. P & V and the Ice Pop Bath has everything kids love: big feelings, an epic quest, and the kind of adventure that only happens when everyone's ridiculously dedicated to waiting for frozen things. It's funny, it's tender, and, yes, there's a cat dad in goggles with a wooden spoon and a dish towel cape. A lighthearted take on social-emotional learning told with warmth, empathy, and humor that drips from every page.
