Told in lyrical verse with a playful nod to the classic nursery rhyme, Remy Had a Little Lamb is a warm and reassuring bedtime story for little ones navigating big emotions - separation, worry, the sting of being misunderstood, and the quiet relief of being found again.

Set in a gentle pastoral world of green fields, stone walls, and soft evening light, the story unfolds through hand-illustrated scenes drawn in a classic pen-and-ink style with watercolour wash. The rhythmic verse is designed to be read aloud, with a steady metre that carries young listeners through moments of tension and resolution.

Written by Irish poet and children's author Taḋg Paul, the book draws on the rhythms of the nursery tradition while offering a fresh story about friendship between a child, a lamb, and the loyal dog who helps bring them back together.

The illustrations are the author's own - drawn in pen and ink with watercolour wash. Three years ago, following a spinal cord injury that left him with impaired manual dexterity, Taḋg Paul couldn't draw more than a stick figure. He learned to illustrate through the art programme at Spinal Injuries Ireland, to whom this book owes a considerable debt.
