Mrs. Fancy Fox brings her babies to meet the neighbors. And high above them all, Harding the Hawk reluctantly shares his perch with Mr. Ollie Owl, who simply must take notes for Mrs. Owl back home.

They have all come to hear from Sir Squire the Squirrel, a bold and curious adventurer who has glimpsed something extraordinary from the treetops: a vast, never-ending world that stretches far beyond the distant Wando River. Sir Squire has a dream, and a plan, and today he intends to share both with every creature in the yard.

But big dreams require big courage, ingenuity, and friends willing to believe in the impossible.

Fellers, William: - William "Bill" Fellers is a debut children's book author and illustrator whose hand drawn artwork brings the Lowcountry of South Carolina to life in Swodaddy's Backyard. Inspired by the real animals, waterways, and wooded landscapes surrounding his Mount Pleasant home, Bill originally crafted this whimsical bedtime story for his six grandchildren. His warmhearted tale of Sir Squire the adventurous squirrel invites young readers everywhere into a world of wonder and imagination.
