When a mysterious will vanishes and a fortune hangs in the balance, Nancy Drew refuses to stand by and watch injustice win.

Armed with nothing but her wits, her courage, and a stubborn refusal to give up, seventeen-year-old Nancy finds herself plunged into a dangerous puzzle: a missing inheritance, a stolen legacy, and a family of schemers determined to keep the truth buried. From shadowed mansions and cluttered attics to forgotten roadside shanties, every clue pulls her deeper into a web of secrets-and every answer only raises more questions.

But Nancy isn't intimidated.

She's intrigued.

With her blue roadster at her side and her unstoppable determination leading the way, she'll chase every lead, crack every code, and risk everything to protect the innocent. Because in River Heights, when something isn't right, Nancy Drew is the girl who won't look away. Intrigue, suspense, and a clue that changes everything.

The Secret of the Old Clock launches the legendary mystery series that inspired generations of readers, reintroduced here for a new century with fresh energy and timeless adventure. Perfect for fans of cozy mysteries, Golden Age detective fiction, and stories where courage sparks revolution.

Some secrets are meant to be found.

Keene, Carolyn: - Mildred Wirt Benson (1905-2002) writing as Carolyn Keene was an American writer and reporter whose contributions to early twentieth-century popular literature, most notably Nancy Drew Mysteries, helped redefine the image of the young female protagonist in American fiction. A graduate of the University of Iowa, where she became one of the first women in the nation to earn a master's degree in journalism, Benson authored dozens of juvenile novels and later enjoyed a long career as a newspaper journalist. Working anonymously for the Stratemeyer Syndicate, she completed the initial manuscripts that introduced a now-iconic girl detective, Nancy Drew, to readers worldwide. Today, her work is recognized for its role in expanding opportunities for young female characters in literature and inspiring new generations of writers and readers.
