Claman, Sabrina: - Sabrina Claman (ella) es una artista multimedia con una Licenciatura en Bellas Artes en Dibujo por la Universidad de Iowa. Trabajó durante casi cuatro años en animación comercial, diseño y dirección en Grasshorse Studio. En 2023, se incorporó al programa de Maestría en Bellas Artes en Medios Digitales y Diseño de la Universidad de Connecticut, donde imparte clases a estudiantes de grado y contribuye a iniciativas de investigación y diseño en el DMD y el Instituto de Humanidades de la UConn (UCHI). Miembro activa de Women in Animation y de la Connecticut Film & TV Alliance, también es jueza de animación en el Festival de Cine anual de Snake Alley y en los Premios Cinematográficos de Iowa. She spent nearly four years working in commercial animation, design, and directing at Grasshorse Studio. In 2023, she joined the University of Connecticut's MFA program in Digital Media & Design, where she teaches undergraduate students and contributes to research and design initiatives within DMD and the UConn Humanities Institute (UCHI). An active member of Women in Animation and the Connecticut Film & TV Alliance, she also serves as an animation judge for the annual Snake Alley Film Festival and Iowa Motion Picture Awards. Nostalgia, empathy, and everyday life are central themes in her practice-which spans highly accessible/commercial and interdisciplinary mediums including 2D and 3D animation, illustration, comics, book design, mural work, as well as AR and VR experiences-to explore the intersection of storytelling and immersive media.
Narvaez Claman, Taylor: - Taylor Narvaez Claman es una escritora de múltiples formatos con pasión por las historias bilingües. Tiene doble titulación en Artes Teatrales y Español por la Universidad de Iowa, además de un Certificado en Escritura. En 2019, fue finalista del Festival de Cine y del Concurso de Guion de la Gran Manzana, y semifinalista de la Beca Fulbright de Estudio e Investigación en Artes. En 2021, fue seleccionada como aprendiz del círculo de mentoría de Mujeres en Animación "Incursionando en la Escritura" y, en 2022, participó en el taller "¡Preparados, Listos, a escribir!". En 2024, fue aprendiz de otro círculo de mentoría de WIA, "Propiedad Intelectual: Adaptando mundos existentes y creando el tuyo propio". Taylor fundó Arlorosa Films en 2020 y Arlorosa Press en 2025. Desde 2020, trabaja como jueza de escritura independiente para el concurso de escritura NYC Midnight Writing Competition. She has dual degrees in Theatre Arts and Spanish from the University of Iowa, as well as a Certificate in Writing. In 2019, she was a Finalist in the Big Apple Film Festival and Screenplay Competition, as well as a Semi Finalist for a Fulbright Study/Research Arts Grant. In 2021, she was selected as a mentee for the Women In Animation mentorship circle "Breaking into Writing," and in 2022, she participated in the workshop "Ready, Set, Write!" In 2024, she was a mentee in another WIA mentorship circle, "Intellectual Property: Adapting Existing Worlds and Creating Your Own!" Taylor started Arlorosa Films in 2020 and Arlorosa Press in 2025. She has freelanced as a writing judge for NYC Midnight Writing Competition since 2020. She produced three short films, one of which aired at the Alternating Currents Film Festival in 2021. She published another children's book, "Mayhem's Garden Friends" in 2025, as well as the webcomic, Dawn of Maw, on Webtoon Canvas from 2019-2023.
