Alaska Caribou is a collection of twenty stories of events that took place on big game hunts between 1967 and 2020 in northwest Arctic Alaska. All are true stories; however, names of some people have been changed, in respect of their privacy. Biological facts and traits of Rangifer tarandus - new world caribou - are included in some of the stories. The tales also deal with human reactions to the hunts and the wilderness.

Jacobson, Jake: - Jake arrived in Alaska in 1967 and has been actively engaged in guiding and personal hunting and fishing every year. He holds Alaska Master Guide License #54, a Commercial Pilot license, a 100 Ton Mariners license and has operated his Arctic Rivers Guide & Booking Service from his 80 acre deeded property since 1972. He is licensed to guide throughout Alaska in Game Management Units 6 through 26. ALASKA CARIBOU is his sixth book.
