Esta historia, de la cual yo soy el protagonista, comienza con mi atropellado nacimiento y termina con un final oportuno del actor principal. Fueron muchas las anécdotas, hazañas, aventuras y peripecias vividas en este viaje por la vida; el cual no estuvo ausente de penas, lágrimas, sufrimientos, dolores, fortalezas, deslices, alegrías, risas, celebraciones y logros de todas clases y de todos tipos. En el largo recorrido por el mundo, los enredos, efemérides y las memorias se entrelazaron para formar lo que muchos llaman viaje hacia la eternidad. En el camino unas veces bebí de la copa amarga del sufrimiento. Otras veces, me tocó beber en el cáliz rebosante de la alegría. Aunque no combatí molinos de viento, fueron muchos los sinsabores que enfrenté en mi largo trajinar. Sin embargo, estos fueron superados por recompensas que siempre me aguardaban al final del camino.


Es desde mi aterrizaje al mundo, en un oscuro y recóndito lugar del pueblo de Vega Baja, que empezaron a desarrollarse el gatuperio de mis hazañas. Estas se extendieron desde el barrio que me vio nacer, hasta tener gran parte del mundo como escenario. Durante ese periodo, las lecciones de vida, enseñanzas y aprendizajes fueron interminables. Si bien, las hazañas de mi existencia en este plano comenzaron siendo pequeñas, casi insignificantes, las mismas crecieron y se remolinaron vinculadas a mi alrededor a través del cosmos, formando una red de vivencias dignas de ser reconocidas, examinadas, estudiadas y contadas. Es por eso por lo que, con mucho respeto, me atrevo a plasmarlas en este trabajo para compartirlas con mis colaboradores, discípulos, maestros y cómplices, los cuales, en algún momento, viajaron en el mismo vagón que yo ocupaba en el tren de la vida.


Aunque ya muchos de los que fueron mis acompañantes de este recorrido hacia la eternidad han cumplido su misión conmigo y hoy ya no viajamos juntos, les recuerdo con mucho cariño porque dejaron imperdurables y gratas huellas en mí. El papel de los personajes que aquí aparecen está íntimamente atado a mis andanzas por los rincones del universo; fueron estos actores quienes mejor me ayudaron, de una forma u otra, a concretar mi historia y a escribir mis crónicas. Son estos atrevidos aventureros parte trascendental de mis memorias y es mi obligación honrarlos y enaltecerlos con este humilde homenaje.
