About The Book

In Nachstehendem sind in moglichster Kurze die Constructions- bedingungen der einfachen und Doppelschieber-Steuerungen entwickelt. Hierbei sind diejenigen fur den Muschelschieber, sowie fur den Trick-, Hanrez- und Hick-Schieber zum Theil dem Werke "Neue Schieber- diagramme und neue Theorie der Dampfvertheilung von C. Falkenburg" entnommen. Anlass zur Bearbeitung war der U mstand, dass in den meisten Fabriken die Steuerungen nach dem Zeuner'schen Diagramm construirt werden, dies Diagramm aber, da es die Pleuelstangenlange unberuck- sichtigt lasst, eine genaue Beurtheilung der Dampfvertheilung und Be- stimmung der Steuerungsdimensionen nicht ermoglicht und bei negativen Deckungen auch nicht anwendbar ist. Die Folge hiervon ist, dass diese Steuerungen meistens erst beim Einstellen berichtigt werden miissen. Zweck der vorliegenden Arbeit ist nun, diese Nacharbeit zu umgehen, urn die Steuerungen genau so ausfiihren zu konnen, wie sie construirt sind. Da das Falken burg' sche Werk bIos 0 bengenannte vier Steuerungen behandelt, aber keine Doppelschieber-Steuerungen, so glaubte ich dasselbe III dieser Hinsicht erganzen zu sollen.
