In dem vorliegenden Buch werden samtliche Bauverfahren fur die Planung und Durchfuhrung moderner Tunnelbauwerke, ausgehend von der geologischen Situation, vorgestellt. Vortriebsarten und -verfahren, Spezialtunnelbauverfahren, Logistiksysteme, Baustelleneinrichtung und Fertigungsanlagen werden detailliert erlautert. Dabei wurde groer Wert auf die Interaktion mit den Nachbardisziplinen Geologie, Felsmechanik, Werkstoffkunde, Maschinenbau und Betriebswirtschaft gelegt, um den Baubetrieb in den Gesamtbauprozess einzubetten.
Fur die 2. Auflage wurde das Werk aktualisiert und um Berechnungsbeispiele erganzt. Damit bildet es fur Praktiker, Neueinsteiger und Studenten gleichermaen eine wertvolle Arbeitshilfe.

About The Author

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Gerhard Girmscheid studierte Bauingenieurwesen an der Technischen Hochschule Darmstadt, wo er 1983 promovierte. Anschlieend war er bei der Bilfinger + Berger Bau AG und bei der Walther Bau AG Augsburg tatig. Er wurde 1996 als Professor fur Bauprozess- und Bauunternehmensmanagement an das Institut fur Bauplanung und Baubetrieb der ETH Zurich berufen.
