Die Beherrschung dieser Verfahren bedeutet nicht weniger als die mög- lichen Umformgrade und die nötigen Umformkräfte für verschiedene Grö en und Stoffe der Werkstücke zu kennen. Damit die wissenschaftliche Ermitt- lung dieser Grö en im Rahmen überblickbarer Arbeiten bleibt, ist zweierlei notwendig, nämlich einmal eine technisch-physikalisch begrün- dete Ordnung der Verfahren und zum anderen das Auffinden von Modell- beziehungen. Währ nd diese die Umrechnungen aufgefundener physikalischer Grö en auf andere Stoffe und Abmessungen ermöglicht, dient jene der Nutzanwendung auf benachbarte Verfahren. In diesem Sinne hat der Verfasser der vorliegenden Schrift das "Auf- stellen von Innenborden mit Stempeln" in die Gruppe Biegen eingeordnet und für die tlbertragbarkeit seiner Ergebnisse auf kleine und gro e Werk- stücke Modellbeziehungen angegeben. Damit gewinnt sie für das gro e Gebiet von der Feinwerktechnik bis zu den gro en aus Grobblech gebauten Geräten Bedeutung. Die Innenborde dienen teils dem Anschlu anderer Teile, wie Rohren und Flanschen, teils der Versteifung von Blechplatten; in jedem Falle kommt es darauf an, aus dem vorhandenen Stoff möglichst hohe, ri freie Borde zu gewinnen.
