Im Rahmen der Handbuchreihe Energieberatung/Energiemanagement sollen mit diesem Band volks- und betriebswirtschaftliche Aspekte der Energiewirtschaft vermittelt werden, um damit Zu- sammenhänge und Entscheidungen über rationelle und sparsame Energieverwendungen aus öko- nomischer Sicht beurteilen zu können. Der vorliegende Band ist in zwei Bereiche gegliedert. Der erste Bereich beinhaltet die Darstellung und Erläuterung allgemeiner energiewirtschaftlicher Grundzusammenhänge und im zweiten Be- reich werden Wirtschaftlichkeitsberechnungen behandelt, die der Entscheidungsvorbereitung zur Durchführung von Investitionen dienen. Aufbauend auf einer Übersicht über die Ressourcen und Reserven an Energieträgern in der Welt und der Bundesrepublik Deutschland werden Energieverbrauch und dessen Determinanten analy- siert. Daran schlie t sich eine Beschreibung der Preisbildungsprinzipien auf Energiemärkten und die Darstellung energiepolitischer Ziele an. Weiterhin erfolgt die Erläuterung der Energiewirtschaft in der ehemaligen DDR.
