Bisher werden die Schneideigenschaften der Scheren ausschlielUich durch das Zerschneiden eines Schneidwerkstoffs (z. B. Nesseltuch) oder durch Leerschliel3ungen, d. h. Offnen und Schliel3en der Schere ohne Zerschneiden eines Werkstoffs, von Hand gepriift. Bei dieser Art der Priifung wird das Ergebnis durch die vom Prufer angewandte und von ihm beeinflul3bare Priif- methode und durch seinen Beurteilungsmal3stab gegeben sein. Hinzu kommt noch, dal3 aul3er dem Einflul3 des Prufenden auf die Beurteilung der Schneid- eigenschaften ein weiterer Nachteil dadurch entsteht, dal3 bei der Scheren- priifung von Hand keine Mel3ergebnisse in Form von Zahlenwerten erreicht werden konnen. Aus den oben genannten Grunden besteht seit langem die Forderung nach ei- nem Gerat, mit dem eine objektive Beurteilung der Schneideigenschaften von Scheren durch Auswertung von Mel3daten moglich ist. Daher erhielt das Forschungsinstitut fUr Schneidwaren die Aufgabe, eine weitgehend univer- sell anwendbare und moglichst selbsttatig arbeitende Scheren-Priifvorrich- tung zu entwickeln. Nach einigen einfuhrenden Erorterungen uber Aufbau und Arbeitsweise der Schere sowie uber die bisher angewandten Priifmethoden werden die fur die Beurteilung der Schneideigenschaften festzulegenden Mel3grol3en besprochen. Anschliel3end wird die Arbeitsweise der im Rahmen der Forschungsarbeit entwickelten Scheren-Priifvorrichtung erlautert. Anhand von Scherenprufun- gen, die mit einem Versuchsmodell der Scheren-Prufvorrichtung vorgenom- men wurden, werden weiterhin der Einflul3 des Schneidwerkstoffs auf'die Priifungsergebnisse und die zweckmal3ige Auswertung der Versuchsergeb- nisse fUr die Beurteilung der Schneideigenschaften von Scheren besprochen. Abschliel3end folgt die Erlauterung der Konstruktion einer selbsttatig arbei- tenden Scheren-Priifmaschine bei der - abgesehen von den automatisch ab- laufenden Priifvorgangen - grundsatzlich die gleiche Arbeitsweise wie bei dem Versuchsmodell angewandt wurde.
