Questo progetto si concentra sulla fabbricazione e sulla caratterizzazione meccanica di compositi a matrice metallica di alluminio 7075 rinforzati con rame, carburo di silicio e ceneri volanti utilizzando la tecnica dello stir casting. L'alluminio 7075 � stato scelto come materiale di base per il suo elevato rapporto resistenza/peso e le sue buone propriet� meccaniche, mentre il rame, il carburo di silicio e la cenere volante sono stati utilizzati come rinforzi per migliorare la forza, la durezza e la resistenza all'usura. I compositi vengono fabbricati variando le combinazioni di rinforzo e fusi in provini piatti. Dopo la colata, si procede alla lavorazione per ottenere campioni di prova standard. Vengono valutate le propriet� meccaniche, come la resistenza alla trazione e la durezza. Per ottimizzare i parametri di processo � stato applicato il disegno degli esperimenti con il metodo Taguchi e l'analisi della varianza (ANOVA) � stata utilizzata per identificare i fattori significativi che influenzano le propriet� meccaniche. I risultati dimostrano che l'aggiunta di rinforzi migliora significativamente le prestazioni meccaniche dei compositi di alluminio 7075, rendendoli adatti ad applicazioni strutturali e automobilistiche leggere.
