Os comp�sitos s�o fabricados variando as combina��es de refor�o e fundidos em amostras de placas planas. Ap�s a fundi��o, � efectuada a maquina��o para obter amostras de ensaio normalizadas. As propriedades mec�nicas, como a resist�ncia � tra��o e a dureza, s�o avaliadas. A conce��o de experi�ncias utilizando o m�todo Taguchi � aplicada para otimizar os par�metros do processo e a an�lise de vari�ncia (ANOVA) � utilizada para identificar os factores significativos que afectam as propriedades mec�nicas. Os resultados demonstram que a adi��o de refor�os melhora significativamente o desempenho mec�nico dos comp�sitos de alum�nio 7075, tornando-os adequados para aplica��es estruturais leves e autom�veis.
