Die einzelnen Typen unterscheiden sich durch den not- wendigen Aufwand fUr die Regelung. Zur Verwirklichung der einzelnen Betriebsarten muss en eine beliebige der drei Kenngrol3en sowie ggf. Drehradius und Spindeldrehzahl gemessen wer- den. Mel3- und Regelgrol3en eines Systems sind nicht notwendigerweise identisch. Einige kennzeichnende Eigenschaften grol3enteils bereits ausge- fiihrter Sensoren zur Erfassung der Primiirkenngrol3en werden dargestellt. Erforderlich sind femer als Stellglieder stetig verstellbare Vorschu- und/oder Hauptantriebe. Die Anforderungen an die Vorschubantriebe im Hinblick auf Nebenzeiteinsparungen beim Anfahren an das Werkstuck wer- den aufgezeigt. Geeignete Vorschubantriebe sind fUr numerisch gesteuer- te Maschinen entwickelt worden, sodal3 einige Betriebsarten von der An- triebsseite her einfach realisiert werden konnen. Dagegen sind ausrei- chend leistungsfiihige stetig verstellbare Hauptantriebe noch nicht verfUg- bar, so dal3, wie eine Zusammenstellung ausgefiihrter Grenzregelungen zeigt, bislang allenfalls Betriebsarten mit Schnittgeschwindigkeitssteue- rung durch Drehzahlverstellung zu verwirklichen sind.
