Bei den metallurgischen Reakt'ionen, die zur Reinigung der Hetalle dienen, findet ein Stoffaustausch zwischen verschiedenen Phasen statt. Es wird meist angestrebt, durch Schlacke-Bad-Heaktionen die Begleitelemente des Hetalls auf einen möglichst niedrigen Gehalt zu bringen. Oie Bntfernung eines Begleitelementes ist umso schwie- riger, je kleiner der zulässige Gehalt des unerwünschten Elementes ist. Zur ntfernung einzelner Elemente wurden spezielle Verfahren entwickelt, wie z. B. das SU-Ver- fahren oder das Vakuum-Verfahren zur i, ntfernung von Gasen. In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird ein Verfahren mit transi- torischem Phasenkontakt angewendet, um in relativ kurzer Zeit eine Haffination des Metalls durchzuführen. Der transitorische Phasenkontakt zeichnet sich durch einen günstigen Grenzflächenkontakt zwischen den beteiligten Phasen aus. Für Schlacke-Metall-Heaktionen wurde dies zum ersten Iall von H. I'errin 1) erörtert und von H. Schenck 2) weitergeführt. lJurch die Vergrösserung der Kontaktfläche zwischen Metall und Schlacke bei der Raffination wird eine ( uali tä tsverbesserung und "ostensenkung erreicht. In Anlehnung an das Sprühfrischverfahren wird das in die- ser Arbeit an{', 'ewandtc Verfahren "Sprühraffinationsver- fahren" genannt. - 2 - 2, 'Theoretische Grundlagen t.l. Theorie des Stoff'tiberganges zwischen verschiedenen Phasen Die Grundlagender theoretischen Betrachtungen zum Stoff- transport zwischen flüssigem Metall und Schlacke sind von H. Schenck und Mitarbeiter 2-7), l . Plöckinger und H. Straube 8) sowie H. Krainer und Mitarbeiter 9-13) behandelt worden. Die Heaktionsgeschwindigkeit eines heterogenen Stoffaus tausches wird durch einen der folgenden Teilschritte be- stimmt. Dabei ist der Vorgang, der am langsamsten abläuft, geschwindigkeitsbestimmend: 1. Transport der Heaktionsteilnehmer aus dem Innern der beteiligten Phasen zur Grenzfläche der betreffenden Phasen.
