Prof. Shakouchi is or was Member of the Hydraulics and Hydraulics Technical Committee, Science Council of Japan (SCJ), Member of the Special Committee on Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research, Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), Member of External Review Board, Research Grants Council of Hong Kong (RGC), China, Director, Councilor, Deputies, Department Committee at the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (JSME), JSEM, JSFM, JSASS, WJTS, SCEJ, HTSJ, ASME, Editor-in Chief, Thesis Chairman, Councilor, Director, Chairman at the JSMF, Japan, President of the JSMF, Japan, 2009-2010, Emeritus Member of the JSMF, 2017-, Member of Editorial Board, "Int.
