Ein Sichanlehnen an fertige Zeichnungen des zu bauenden Gegenstandes wird sich natiirlich nie vermeiden lassen, und der Studierende soll fiir die Durchfiihrung seiner Zeichnungen aIle Hilfsmittel benutzen, die ihm in Literatur und Praxis zur Verfiigung stehen. Was aber auf das strengste verpont und verboten sein sollte, ist die sklavische Nachahmung der Vorlage, kurz gesagt, das gedankenl()se Abzeichnen. Der junge Mensch solllernen, ge- stiitzt auf die Erinnerungen an sein Werkstatterleben und auf die in den Vorlesungen gewonnenen Erkenntnisse, den Dingen aus eigenem Gestalt zu geben, also schopferisch tatig zu sein. Das ist es ja, was den Ingenieur als solchen kennzeichnet. Die Fahigkeit, selbstandig zu gestalten, laBt sich am besten ent- wickeln und pflegen, wenn man den Ingenieurschiller allmahlich an Hand von zunachst ganz einfachen Aufgaben in die Technik des Formgebens hineinwachsen laBt. Die vorliegende Aufgabensammlung ist so aufgebaut, daB der Studie- rende zwanglos von der Konstruktion eines Schmierlochdeckels iiber Probleme stetig zunehmender Schwierigkeit zu groBeren Konstruktions- arbeiten aufsteigt. Es ist dabei auf das Berechnen von Abmessungen be- wuBt verzichtet (wichtige MaBe sind jeweilig gegeben); die Aufgaben sollen reine Gestaltungsiibungen bieten.
