Nach ergonomischen Gesichtspunkten auf die Maschine zugeschnittene Bedien- und Programmierverfahren vor Ort sollen die Arbeit des Bedieners erleichtern. Betriebs- datenerfassung, Uberwachung von Steuerung und Maschine mit Diagnose im Fehlerfall sollen technische und organisatorische Storzeiten reduzieren und zu hoher Ausnutzung und Verfugbar- keit der Anlagen fuhren. Die Entwicklung dieser maschinenspezifischen Funktionsein- heiten setzt die genaue Kenntnis der Maschine voraus. Deswe- gen hat der Maschinenhersteller verst rkt den Wunsch, diese Funktionseinheiten selbst in die Steuerung zu integrieren, urn so ein auf die Maschine zugeschnittenes Steuersystem zu erhalten. Bei bisherigen Steuersystemen ist die Integration dieser Zusatz- und Sonderfunktionen mit hohen Kosten verbunden und in der Regel nur vom Steuerungshersteller durchzufuhren.
