Dr. Mahdi Darab, an assistant professor at Iran University of Science and Technology, has earned a B.Sc. in chemical engineering from University of Tehran and a M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from KTH (Sweden) and NTNU (Norway), respectively. He has worked on perovskite materials for solid oxide fuel cell electrode usage in his post-graduate studies and later researched on the same class of materials with a variety of base materials, doping, and synthesis conditions at his lab.

Dr. Amirmahmoud Bakhshayesh is an Assistant Professor at Iran University of Science and Technology. He received both his BSc and MSc degrees in Materials Engineering from Sharif University of Technology. He completed his PhD in Materials Engineering at the University of Tehran. Since 2009, his primary research has focused on the development of energy harvesting materials for next-generation photovoltaics, such as perovskite and dye-sensitized solar cells. He currently leads the Energy Materials Laboratory (E-Mat Lab), where his team is working on the fabrication of fully printed solar cells utilizing innovative perovskite inks.

Dr. Maryam Tajabadi is an assistant professor with a focus on biomedical engineering and biomaterials at Iran University of Science and Technology. She obtained her B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. from Amirkabir University of Technology. In her PhD study at the Amirkabir Biophotonic Lab and the Cell Bank of the Pasteur Institute of Iran, Dr. Tajabadi concentrated on assessing the cell cycle of several malignant and normal cell lines in relation to bio- and nanomaterials. Her job included evaluating cell responses to changes in materials' magnetic and optical properties, so augmenting her proficiency in cellular-molecular procedures and revealing significant pathobiological gaps for the advancement of next-generation materials. She is now investigating material characteristics and biocompatibility to develop advanced smart wound dressings and tissue-engineered scaffolds that release active compounds to enhance the healing process.
