About The Book

Die Rationalisierung des spanenden Fertigungsprozesses brachte bisher vor allem eine Automatisierung der Massenfertigung und den Einsatz von NC-Werkzeugmaschinen ftir die Einzel- und Kleinserienfertigung. Sie weist damit im Bereich mittlerer LosgroBen eine erkennbare Lticke auf [1]. Ansatze zur Rationalisierung der Fertigung mittlerer Losgros- sen sind vorhanden, indem mehrere Fertigungseinrichtungen tiber ein gemeinsames Steuer- und MaterialfluBsystem so mit- einander verkntipft werden, daB eine automatische Fertigung unterschiedlicher Werkstticke stattfinden kann [2]. Solche integrierten oder flexiblen Fertigungssysteme (FFS) kamen in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland bisher nur in zwei Industriebetrieben zum Einsatz [3]. Die groBe Planungsunsicherheit, die bei den hohen Anlageko- sten ein bedeutendes Risiko ftir die in Frage kommenden Be- triebe darstellt, verhinderte unter anderem eine breitere Anwendung. In Anbetracht der Schwierigkeiten ist es das Ziel dieser Ar- beit, Herstellern und Anwendern Hinweise und Hilfsmittel zur Planung und Auslegung von FFS zu liefern, die ein kleineres Investitionsrisiko bewirken. Zur Erarbeitung der hierftir notwendigen Grundlagen mtissen die Anforderungen an die raumliche Zuordnung, Dimensionie- rung und Konstruktion der einzelnen Betriebsmittel ebenso betrachtet werden wie die Kosten und die zeitlichen Zus- menhange in FFS. FUr die Untersuchung des Zeitverhaltens, die den Schwerpunkt der Arbeit darstellt, ist die Entwicklung und Anwendung ge- eigneter Methoden notwendig. Insbesondere kommen Systemsimu- lationen auf GroBrechnern und analytische Berechnungen in Be- tracht. Ein Vergleich von Simulationsergebnissen mit Messun- gen an einem aufgebauten Pilotsystem solI eine Beurteilung der Aussagekraft der Methoden ermoglichen.
