Die Stabilitatsuntersuchung soIl sioh mogliohst eng an die aus der Weohselstromteohnik bekannten Verfahren anlehnen, die dem praktisohen Ingenieur am meisten gelaufig sind. Ais Ausgangs- punkt dienen daher neben der charakteristisohen oder Stammfunktion vor allem die zahlreichen - bequem meBbaren - Eigensohaften der untersuchten Systeme, z. B. t)bertragungsfaktoren oder Soheinwider- stande, und zwar mogliohst nur deren Werte fUr eingesohwungene Wechselvorgange Coder einfach harmonische Schwingungen) bestimmter Frequenz. Weil ich zulasse, daB die zur Priifung dienende Frequenzfunktion oder Eigenschaft ziemlich frei gewahlt werden kann, spreche ich von allgemeinen Kriterien und habe auch in diesem Buch wieder betont, wie vielseitig die MogJichkeiten sind; denn bisher scheinen die Orts- kurvenkriterien auBer auf die Stammfunktion fast ausschlieBlich auf eine andere spezielle Eigenschaft einer besonderen Art von Systemen (den Ketteniibertragungsfaktor einer einseitig iibertragenden Ring- schaltung) angewandt zu werden. In der Darstellungsart unterscheidet sich dieses Buch erheblich von seinem Vorganger, dessen Aufgabe umfassender war; denn - wenn die altere Monographie natiirlich auch an Beispielen zeigen solIte, wie man die Verfahren praktisch anwenden kann - so sollte sie doch in erster Linie die sachlichen Probleme losen und diese Losungen als richtig nachweisen. Darum habe ich mich damals nicht gesoheut, im theoretischen Teil diejenigen mathematischen Hilfsmittel - z. B.
