Il sistema proposto presenta un sistema attivo diretto senza riscaldatori ausiliari per valutare il potenziale di utilizzo dei collettori solari termici per il riscaldamento delle piscine e per dimensionare il collettore solare utilizzando il pacchetto software di simulazione TSOL per soddisfare la domanda di acqua calda, per analizzare l'impatto dei parametri di progettazione del collettore rispetto al costo del sistema, al rendimento del sistema e ai valori economici e poi realizzato sperimentalmente. Il volume d'acqua richiesto per coprire il modello di carico della piscina � di 136 litri al giorno. Per valutare/misurare l'economia del sistema sono state adottate quattro metriche: valore attuale netto, costo dell'energia, costo dell'acqua riscaldata e periodo di ammortamento. I risultati della simulazione hanno mostrato che la potenza installata dei collettori del sistema SWHS � di 9.980 kW e il contributo dell'energia solare alla piscina � di 25,831 MWh. L'efficienza del sistema � del 75,5% e la resa solare annuale ottenuta � di 2153kWh/anno. Dal punto di vista economico, il VAN e il COE sono rispettivamente di 5878,37 dollari e 0,0045 dollari/kWh.
