Bisher sind aber keine Untersuchungsverfahren festgelegt, die ftir eine Gtitebeurteilung der Industriekalke dienen konnen. Es ist daher dringend erforderlich, daB Prtifmethoden entwickelt werden, die reproduzierbare Ergebnisse liefern. Einige Industriezweige benotigen ftir ihre Produktionsprozesse gebrannten Kalk. Wahrend jedoch z.B. die eine Industrie Wert darauf legt, einen vol- lig entsauerten Kalk zu erhalten, verlangen andere Industrien einen ge- brannten Kalk, der moglichst aktiv ist, d.h., der sich durch eine groBe chemische Reaktionsfahigkeit auszeichnet. Diese Eigenschaften des gebrann- ten Kalkes lassen sich durch die Brennbedingungen steuern. Die Erzeugnisse werden jeweils als Hartbrand und Weichbrand gekennzeichnet. Es besteht nun das dringende Erfordernis, ein Prtifverfahren zu entwickeln, das eine zahlenmaBige Beurteilung des Branntkalkes in dieser Hinsicht ermoglicht, da hieran praktisch aIle Verbrauchergruppen interessiert sind. Unsere bisherigen Vorstellungen, die Eigenschaften der Kalke durch ihren analytisch bestimmten Gehalt an CaO, MgO, Si0, A1 0, Fe 0 usw. kenn- 2 2 3 2 3 zeichnen zu konnen, sind offenbar unzutreffend. Es zeigt sich immer wie- der, daB bedeutsame Unterschiede zwischen verschiedenen Kalken z.B. in ihrem Reaktionsvermogen auftreten konnen, obwohl sie in ihren analytischen Werten weitgehend tibereinstimmen.
