Rund Ostsee mit dem Segelboot - lange hat der Autor davon geträumt. Als er 63 Jahre alt war, wurde der Traum zum Plan, im Frühjahr 2013 zur Realität. Mit insgesamt 26 Freunden in zwölf Mannschaften segelte er mit der Charteryacht TI AMO vom Typ BAVARIA 36 ab Rügen nach Polen, Litauen, Lettland, Estland, Russland, Finnland, Schweden, Dänemark und Norwegen. Die Seeleute sahen die alten Städte und die langen Sandstrände des Baltikums, den Glanz von St. Petersburg, Helsinki und Oslo, finnische Wälder, tausende Schären, passierten enge Fahrwasser, versanken im Nebel, waren wilden Winden ausgesetzt und tauchten tief den Oslofjord ein. Sehr junge und sehr erwachsene Menschen teilten sich das Boot, erfahrene Segler und Neulinge wurden zu Crews. Stille Buchten und laute Häfen, glatte See und hohe Wellen, Flaute und Sturm bildeten unvergessliche Kontraste. Als TI AMO nach 4859 Seemeilen wieder in Breege festmachte, lagen vier Monate intensivsten Erlebens hinter Yacht und Skipper. Mit einem Augenzwinkern erzählt der Autor von der Reise, von den Freuden, dem Staunen und den Problemchen. Seine Botschaften hei en: Lebe Deine Träume - auch wenn sie nicht von Meilen handeln.
