Beattie, Andrew: - Andrew Beattie studied geography at Oxford University and has been writing and travelling ever since. He has worked on books in the Rough Guides series on Switzerland, Germany and Syria and has previously written about the Lake Geneva region in his cultural guide to the Alps, published by Signal Books; his other books for Signal are cultural guides to the Scottish Highlands, the River Danube, Cairo and Prague, and he has also written a walking guide to the Swiss region of Ticino for Cicerone Press. Home (when he's not travelling) is in Southeast London.
Di Duca, Marc: - Marc has been a full-time travel guide author for over two decades, during which he has contributed to almost 200 guides to destinations as diverse as Siberia, Brazil and the Caribbean for all major travel publishers. Based in the Czech Republic, Marc is a regular visitor to the Balkans where hiking in the remote and largely undiscovered mountains of Northern Albania comes a close second to lounging on the beaches of the Adriatic as his favourite activity.

Travelling extensively throughout Europe, she lived in the north of Tenerife for 14 years and in Portugal for four years before relocating back to the UK in 2021.
