Marc Pennartz (1966) was redacteur van het Nederlandse reclasseringsblad Vrij Spraak, schreef over muziek voor Humo en woonde zeven jaar in Zweden waar hij een Nederlandstalige nieuwssite startte die de Zweedse actualiteit coverde. Ook verdiepte hij zich in de moordzaak-Palme. Dit boek bevat hiervan de weerslag. Eerder publiceerde hij een bundel columns over het leven als immigrant in Zweden. In 2004 debuteerde Pennartz als thrillerschrijver met Moscow Hearts.
