He then took the opportunity to enrich themselves and get rid of his enemies. Thanks to a reign of terror that he acquired an immense power of which the Sultan begins to take offense without being able to reduce it. Moreover, Ali Pasha begins with the great powers of Europe the secret negotiations in order to become independent by being recognized prince of Greece. But Pacho Bey, Ali was a man away from him to strip more easily, sets out to take revenge and, gradually, through its actions manage to bring disgrace upon Ali Pasha. Furthermore, the abuses committed by him and his family grow the population to revolt and seek protection to the Sultan. The result is a war between the Ottoman armies and Ali Pasha who suffered heavy losses before dying beheaded. His son also undergo them death. Analysis With this story we are back in the sort of purely historical narratives. The absence of dialogues, how to tell without living the characters, evoking just the highlights that marked the reign of Ali Pasha, make this story seems very long and somewhat boring. This man despising others, violent, selfish, insolent, the ax was the instrument of his fortune, can be considered a bit like a Caesar Borgia Muslim.

A prolific author, he then turned to historical novels such as trilogy The Three Musketeers (1844), Twenty Years After (1845) and The Vicomte de Bragelonne (1847), or The Count of Monte Cristo (1844 -1846 ) and Queen Margot (1845). The paternity of some of his works is disputed him. Dumas was thus suspected by many critics of his day to have used in literary blacks, including Auguste Maquet. However contemporary research showed that Dumas had established effective cooperation with it: Dumas took care to choose the general topic and amended drafts of Maquet to make them more dynamic. We can not deny his authorship of his work, although he was helped
