In spite of his determination not to let anyone or anything deter him from his quest, he finds himself quickly falling in love with Carrie. Carrie discovers the bodies of two young women who recently disappeared from the surrounding communities. She and Kristian are thrown together as they try to solve their murders and his sister's mysterious disappearance. Soon, they find themselves in danger of losing their hearts, as well as their lives as they become closer to The Monster that has been living amongst them...in Caradan...right in plain sight.
