Este es el primer ejercicio de este tipo. Ahora sabemos, por ejemplo, que aquellos pa�ses que tengan el menor nivel de corrupci�n tendr�n un 97% de probabilidad de no sufrir de desapariciones forzadas. Adem�s de la corrupci�n y los derechos humanos, se analizan otros aspectos como son la impunidad, el control sobre los gobiernos, el PIB y la poblaci�n. En suma, se tiene una mirada te�ricamente s�lida y emp�ricamente sostenida sobre las relaciones entre corrupci�n y derechos humanos.

Luis Daniel Vázquez Valencia es profesor de la FLACSO-México. Tiene estudios en derecho, sociología política y ciencia política. Especialista en derechos humanos, sus investigaciones se destacan por alejarse del análisis más jurídico y utilizar las metodologías de las ciencias sociales para el estudio de los derechos.
