Er wei nicht, dass er das Opfer eines teuflischen Planes ist und die Hauptrolle in einer tödlichen Inszenierung spielt, die ihm von einem mächtigen Paten der Unterwelt zugedacht ist: Dem geheimnisvollen Duke. Er hat systematisch mit Gewalt, Schmiergeldern, Drogen und Todesdrohungen eine kriminelle Organisation auf ge-baut, die in ihrer Form einmalig ist und über eine ähnliche Struktur und Logistik verfügt wie ein Geheim-dienst. Vom Drogen- und Mädchenhandel bis zu bezahl-ten Mordaufträgen wird das kriminelle Geschäft weitgehend von ihm kontrolliert. Der Duke will Kong eine Lektion erteilen und lässt ihm falsche Informationen über den Mann zukommen, der angeblich seine Tochter mit Heroin versorgt hat. Kong soll seinen Rachefeldzug fortsetzen und den Mann töten, von dem er glaubt, dass er seine Tochter mit Heroin beliefert hat: Ein Drogendealer, in Wirklichkeit aber ein Undercover Agent der Polizei, der gegen den Duke ermittelt.

Erich Schaake reiste als Chefreporter um die halbe Welt und berichtete für verschiedene Medien über politische Ereignisse des Zeitgeschehens: Als Buchautor veröffentlichte er bisher insgesamt 22 Sachbücher, Biographien sowie zeitkritische Romane und Triller die in zehn Sprachen übersetzt wurden. Zuletzt ist von ihm der Tatsachen-Roman Bordeaux, mon amour erschienen. Eine große Liebesgeschichte und ein dramatisches Kapitel des Zweiten Weltkrieges. Der Autor lebt bei Bordeaux.
