A possible drug deal gone bad leads to murder; a man and woman killed in an apparent automobile accident; a horribly grisly murder of a Cheyenne Police SWAT team member and his girlfriend while camping in the Medicine Bow National Forest. These and more murders of Cheyenne Police and an FBI agent, lead recently promoted Chief of Detectives Anita (Wilson) Bishop and her team of detectives on an eerily confusing murder investigation. Anita's husband, retired Detective First Class Samuel 'Bish' Bishop, assists the investigation by using his skills at research. All the data leads to one person they never expected, nor knew even existed. Murder in the Medicine Bow is a follow-on novel to Abducted. Once again, the Cheyenne detectives are thrown into an investigation their very lives will depend upon.


Murphy, James W.: - James 'Jim' Murphy was born in Rabat, Morocco, North Africa. After a few years, the family moved to Louisiana, then to Puerto Rico. There, he found Jesus and was baptized at age seven, and shortly afterwards became an American citizen in San Juan in 1960. In 1969, the family moved to Bunker Hill, Indiana. This is where God led James to his soul mate, Jean. They became high school sweethearts, and were married in 1974, and have been happily married since. They have three grown daughters, eight grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. James served his chosen country, The United States of America, for over twenty-three years in the Air Force. He was a medic specializing in Aerospace Medicine. He has an Associate's Degree in Science from the Community College of the Air Force, an undergraduate certificate in Biblical Studies from Colorado Christian University, and is currently enrolled in the Dallas Theological Seminary, with a course of study in Biblical Studies. He and Jean moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming, in 1996, and have resided there since on the Nickle 'J' Ranch.
