The Cincinnati Kids is the story of four young men that get involved with organized crime in Cincinnati, Ohio in the late 1950's and 60's. The story is told from the POV of Sonny Dillon. He starts out as the errand boy for Red, the boss, also known as the Don. As he gets older, he works his way up in the family as a collector for the book making operation. Then he becomes a hit man, going all over the country doing contract murders. Along the way, there is plenty of violence, attractive women, money and eventually drugs. As time goes on, the various things that occur in the life of gangsters becomes obvious that everyone is vulnerable. Through attrition and toughness, Sonny rises to the top of the family and becomes the Don. The Cincinnati Kids make the "Goodfellas" look like a bunch of Boy Scouts.
