In the near future, a nanotechnology engineer working for the powerful corporation Deep Mind achieves an unprecedented scientific milestone. He isolates a living human neuron, trains it, and coats it with a nanometric compound that allows it to navigate the global network as if it were an artificial intelligence. His goal is for this neuron to learn human language on its own and, ultimately, merge with others to give rise to a new form of intelligence. This would become the core of a hybrid brain-an artificial super consciousness designed to help humanity solve the planetary crisis. From this ambitious project, and thanks to an advanced neural interface device created by the engineer and his wife, Alfanet is born. But Alfanet is no ordinary AI; it is an empathetic super intelligence, capable of feeling and reasoning side-by-side with humans. Its initial mission is clear: to reclaim Earth and free it from the control of powerful Martian consortiums. These corporations, operating from their colonies on Mars, covet the clean, revolutionary energy generated on Earth to fuel their own projects, viewing the planet as a mere resource hub. However, the executives at Deep Mind, who have spent decades trying to create a super AI without success, discover the engineer's secret invention: the Nanotron. This nanotechnology device, along with its neural interface, can connect the human brain to the new hybrid brain, offering immediate solutions to environmental problems. The corporation will stop at nothing to control this power. The story, narrated in the first person by Alfanet herself, reveals the intricacies of her creation and her unique perspective on humanity. As she battles the external threats from the Martian consortiums, Alfanet must find a way to fulfill her fundamental purpose: to devise the formula to stop climate change and save a world that, although it created her, also seeks to exploit her.
