Ruby Dixon was as normal as a teenager could get until her curiosity bestowed her with powers. With the ability to control objects telepathically, she heads out into her city to fight the danger, not knowing that she would be more dangerous than the evils of the world.
Some of Ruby's friends end up getting powers too but each power is unique to each hero. They figure out ways to keep their identity a secret, while also trying to get along well enough to form a stable team.
Ruby and her friends soon discover that they have destroyed half the city and doesn't even recall it. An unknown source targets her to control her every move without her consent. The entire city turns on her and her teammates, trying to capture or even kill the so-called superheroes.
Will they all be able to run from the FBI, continue to save lives, and remain alive long enough to attempt to expose the source of the unknown power?

Graviton is based off of the biggest battle that we face in real life. Our battle with the Devil. Ruby fought Deville, which represents us fighting with Satan. Throughout this book, Ruby is faced with her friends and even herself being mind controlled. It's just like how Satan gets inside our heads and corrupts what we think. He manipulates our thoughts and actions to the point that we can't tell the difference between good and evil. Ruby was dealing with the same thing. She was mind controlled into doing destruction she never would have done. In order for Ruby to get rid of Deville, she had to identify him first. Just like we have to identify the lies and evil that is inside our heads (1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God; for many faults prophets have gone out into the world). Next, she had to find a way to get him exposed and then take that action. It's the same with us. We have to come up with a plan to stop the lies and the evil that is inside our heads. Then we can't just think about it, but we have to take action towards it and stop it (James 4:7 Therefore, submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you).
The one thing that stopped Deville was The Zone. The Zone was the only thing that kept Deville from controlling Ruby, and The Zone actually represents the Holy Spirit and God. This also explains why Al, Ivy, and Chase aren't able to go into The Zone. None of them have accepted Jesus to live inside of them. God is the only one that has the power to stop Satan and that's what happens in this book. In the end, The Zone completely took away Deville's powers. God can do the same in real life (1 Peter 5:8-9 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings).
