About the Author

Winifred Smith Eure is a member and Treasurer of the National Council of Negro Women - Roselle Section, NJ. She is the Historian & Education Chairperson for the New Jersey State Federation of Colored Women's Clubs, Inc., Vice President of the Essex County Civic Club, and the Editor of the Heard Herald Quarterly Newsletter for her church.. Eure enjoys reading, writing, listening to music, exercising at the YMCA, and participating in weekly Bible Study.

Eure is also a retired Resource Teacher, a widow, a stepmom, and grandmother.
