Dr. S. Kumar, Professor Emeritus, is the former Head of the Centre of Advanced Study in Education (CASE) and Dean Faculty of Education and Psychology, Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. With 16 research projects funded by organizations such as UGC, UNICEF, and UNESCO and multiple publications in national and international journals, he has made notable contributions to teachers’ performance appraisal over two decades. Honored with prestigious awards like the Lifetime Education Achievement Award and the Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award, he received the UGC's Emeritus Fellowship in 2011. The instructional strategy developed by him and his colleagues for 'Educational Measurement and Evaluation' at B.Ed. level was recognized as Best Practice by NAAC and the Commonwealth of Learning, Canada, in 2007.
