The filmdom of Bollywood has always for ages portrayed all sorts of emotions with finesse. Amidst all the cartography of emotions, the innate hidden world of gay’s life has never been shown with perfection for a long time, except in a very few films. The reality of emotions and feelings gets lost somewhere in the heterosexist approach of staunch life that everybody is compelled to live in this country. But, the existence of the heteronormative psychology is as true and real as the psychology of the gay world that couldn’t create any strong space amidst the commercial world of Bollywood. This book is, therefore, an attempt to unveil the reel life and the real life of gays existing in this country, before the recent verdict of Supreme Court of India. Many issues, problems, and polemics of survival relating to the gay world, are dealt with lots of criticisms; so that it doesn’t hurt the sentiments of neither the heterosexual world, nor does it denigrate the gay world. The book also comprises a comprehensive analysis of some chosen films of Bollywood, which has been related to the psychoanalytical studies of real life of the gay world to make the study more authentic.
