Das Fabrikationsverfahren ist im technischen Sinne un- gemein interessant; das Studium desselben ist für den tech- nischen Chemiker so lehrreich wie kaum ein zweites. Apparate und Verfahrungsweisen der Ammoniaksodafabrikation können vorbildlich fär andere Industrien wirken. Die Herausgabe einer grö eren Monographie des Am- moniaksodaverfahrens erscheint aus obigen Grnnden angezeigt; bisher ist eine solche nicht vorhanden. Allerdings ist im dritten Bande des ausgezeichneten Werkes von G. Lunge "Handbuch der Soda-Industrie und ihrer Nebenzweige" auch das Ammoniak- verfahren ziemlich ausführlich behandelt; indessen enthält jener Band in der Hauptsache die Beschreibung anderer Materien. Die Ammoniaksoda nimmt nur den fänften Teil des Bandes ein. Im vorliegenden Werke sind sowohl die Einzeloperationen wie auch der Betrieb im Zusammenhang gen au beschrieben. Zu diesem Zwecke sind ausführliche Pläne ganzer Fabrikanlagen beigegeben. Natürlich kann und soll das Werk nicht dazu dienen, jemand, der die Ammoniaksodafabrikation nicht aus der Praxis kennt, zum Bau und Inbetriebsetzung einer Anlage zu befähigen. So speziell kann man ein Werk kaum verfassen. Es mu Vorwort.
