Inzwischen sind, wie Dr. Norbert Lins in seinem Vorwort schreibt, 35 Jahre vergangen, in denen Musiklehrer Hajo Jobs Generationen junger Menschen in die Orchesterwelt eingeführt hat. Viele Episoden über das, was in dieser Zeit passiert ist, finden sich in dem vorliegenden Buch wieder. "HKO-ten" schildern ihre Erlebnisse mit fliegenden Ameisen und einer unblutig beendeten Entführung, berichten von Reisen nach Österreich, Italien, Frankreich, Griechenland oder Kanada. Hajo erzählt von einem "Unfall" auf der Autobahn, dem legendären Austernessen in La Rochelle, einem Schnellkurs Finnisch, den Schallplatten- und CD-Produktionen sowie dem hier auf dem Buchcover abgebildeten Konzert in der Basilika von Aquileia (Italien). Ergänzt werden die Geschichten durch einen ausführlichen Anhang, in dem alle ehemaligen und aktuellen Mitspieler sowie alle aufgeführten Werke aufgelistet sind.

About The Author

Hajo Jobs ist Gründer und ständiger Leiter des Holsteinischen Kammerorchesters. Er wurde 1948 in Neumünster geboren, ging dort zur Schule und erhielt im Alter von sieben Jahren zunächst bei Rudolf Thomsen, später bei Rudolf Feddern seinen ersten Violinunterricht. Nach dem Abitur nahm er Klavierunterricht bei Berend Bergner, Theorieunterricht bei Dieter Golombek und Gesangsunterricht bei Karlheinz Grube, um sich auf das Musikstudium vorzubereiten. Von 1969 bis 1975 studierte er an der Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Hamburg. Sein Hauptfach Violine belegte er bei Professor Wolfgang Ziolkowski. Besonders intensiv widmete er sich den Fächern Chor- und Orchesterleitung. Er studierte diese Fächer bei Hermann Rauhe, Alfred Detel und Klaus Vetter sowie bei Matthias Husmann. Nach Abschluss des Studiums belegte er Dirigierkurse bei Dr. Armin Fett, Dr. Gisela Jahn und Heribert Beissel. Seit 1975 ist Hajo Jobs Musiklehrer am Carl-Jacob-Burckhardt- Gymnasium in Lübeck. 1993 wurde er vom Land Schleswig-Holstein mit der silbernen Ehrennadel für seine Arbeit in der musikalischen Jugendbildung ausgezeichnet. Am 12. Juli 2008 erhielt er vom Ministerpräsidenten Peter Harry Carstensen den neu geschaffenen Verdienstorden des Landes Schleswig-Holstein.
