Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich Geschichte Europas - Zeitalter Weltkriege, Note: 1,3, Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Eins der grö ten Kriegsverbrechen des Zweiten Weltkriegs war unzweifelhaft die Blockade Leningrads, welche erschreckende 900 Tage andauerte und schätzungsweise 1,1 Millionen Menschen das Leben kostete. Nach dem Einschluss durch die Deutschen im Süden der Stadt und durch die Finnen im Norden kam es schon in den ersten Wintermonaten der Blockade schnell zu Versorgungsengpässen. Anfangs waren für die Zivilbevölkerung noch ausreichend Essens- und Energievorräte vorhanden, die aber vor allem im Winter 1941/42 zur Neige gingen. Hinzu kam, dass die Priorität auf die Industriebetriebe gesetzt wurde, um die noch vorhandene Energieressourcen dort einzusetzen. Im Winter 1941 hatten etliche Wohnhäuser keinen Strom und keinen Wasseranschluss mehr, au erdem wurden schon zu diesem Zeitpunkt Essensrationen verteilt. Das Leid der Stadtbewohner war vor allem in dieser Phase der Blockade sehr gro . Genau auf diesen Aspekt wird in der folgenden Arbeit, anhand des Kompilationsfilmes "Blokada" von Sergej Loznitsa aus dem Jahr 2005, eingegangen. Der knapp 50 minütige Schwarz-Wei -Film zeigt verschiedene originale Videoaufnahmen, die aus dem Archiv der Leningrader Rundschau stammen, des öffentlichen Lebens in der belagerten Stadt, sei es der Beschuss durch die Wehrmacht, die daraufhin zerstörten Gebäude, das Dahinsterben auf der Stra e, das Ausschöpfen des Schmelzwassers aus den zugefrorenen Stra en, die Frauenarbeit oder die Hinrichtung deutscher Soldaten. Eindrucksvoll wird der Zuschauer in die Stadt entführt. Unterstützend wirken die angewandten ausgefallenen Mittel zur Gestaltung des Filmes. So ist die vollständige Dokumentation ausschlie lich ohne Off-Kommentar ausgestattet, sondern nur durch eine vorsichtig rekonstruierte Geräuschkulisse, um die Aufmerksamkeit auf die Archivbilder zu lenken.
