Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2006 im Fachbereich Germanistik - Neuere Deutsche Literatur, Note: 1,3, Albert-Ludwigs-Universit�t Freiburg (Deutsches Seminar II), Veranstaltung: Seminar, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: "[...] sie kehren das Unterste zuoberst in die Menschen" (Bertolt Brecht: "Mutter Courage", S.71 ) Dieses aus Bertolt Brechts "Mutter Courage" stammende Eingangszitat spricht ein Grundmo-tiv an, welches das gesamte St�ck durchzieht und welches f�r die vorliegende Hausarbeit als Ausgangspunkt dienen soll: Mit dieser �u erung l�sst der St�ckeschreiber den Feldpre-diger die Tatsache thematisieren, dass sowohl im Drei igj�hrigen als auch in jedem anderen Krieg die Welt aus den Fugen ger�t, bisher allgemein Bekanntes keine G�ltigkeit mehr be-sitzt und nichts mehr der g�ngigen Logik und den �blichen Konventionen folgt - es herrscht sozusagen 'verkehrte Welt'. In der Tat finden sich in "Mutter Courage" zahlreiche Beispiele f�r derartige Verkehrungen und Umwertungen. Jan KNOPF, der eine Vielzahl von Verbindungen zwischen Grimmelshau-sen und Brecht sieht, nennt diesen Sachverhalt ebenfalls eine Gemeinsamkeit der beiden Autoren, indem er Brechts Inversionen in die Tradition eines barocken Topos stellt, den auch Grimmelshausen verwendet: "Schlie lich �bernimmt Brecht von Grimmelshausen das struk-turale Element, n�mlich die Umkehr des Gew�hnlichen: im Barock ist es der Topos von der verkehrten Welt [...], bei Brecht ist es die 'Umwertung' der 'normalen' b�rgerlichen Werte durch den Krieg als neue Normalit�t." Inwiefern sich Brecht dieser urspr�nglich barocken Motivik bedient, diese ver�ndert, an seine Verfremdungstheorie adaptiert und schlie lich in "Mutter Courage" praktisch umsetzt, soll im Folgenden untersucht werden. In einem ersten Schritt wird es dabei um den barocken Inver-sionstopos und dessen Funktion gehen. In diesem Kontext werden au erdem sowohl die Frage nach der geistigen Verwandtschaft zwischen Grimmelshausen und Brecht als auch Brechts Verfremdun
