According to the Report on the Development of Chinese National Mental Health (2019 ～ 2020) issued by the Institute of Psychology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2021, almost one in five teenagers has depression.

But cold data may not truly reflect the severity of the situation. The medical consultant of this book, Yu Honghua, former chief physician of the Clinical Psychology Department of Beijing Huilongguan Hospital, proposed a specific family treatment plan: psychological nurturing. Teenagers are in a period of rapid psychological development, with intense emotional fluctuations. If they do not receive proper psychological support from their parents, it is highly likely to trigger depression.
