"The heart of a man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps" (Proverbs 16:9 ESV). The American dream typically follows a specific path: graduate high school, graduate college, start your career, get married, have a family, have grandkids, retire, and then take time for your personal dreams. I admire those whose passions follow this path, but as I near graduation, earning degrees in Christian Educational Leadership and Theology, I'm faced with the question of "what's next?" I could follow the typical American dream by beginning my career, and some days I feel the pressure to, but that is not where my heart is currently at. Rather, I have a passion for writing and for international travel. I believe God has blessed me with these gifts so I want to use them to their full potential. In February of 2017 I published my first book, a fictional Christian story called "Escaping the Rainfield," and it was an amazing experience to share a piece of my heart with others. Since then I have begun a blog where I regularly share travel advice and devotions (www.elizarichbookz.com). My current plans, Lord willing, are to begin to travel the world and connect with different cultures that God has created. I want to be a servant of the Lord, a witness to others, and have the opportunity to remind others of the beauty of His world and His people. Along my way I plan to share these stories on my blog to testify to the fact that God is working in more ways than we can ever fathom. Thus, I would appreciate it if you would keep me in your prayers, encourage others to follow me on social media, share my books with friends, and leave reviews.
