About The Author

Teóna "Toysun" Carpenter, native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, is the founder of Royal Legacy, Inc. and Toysun Enterprise. Toysun grew up in Eden Prairie, Minnesota where she quickly learned the law of reciprocity. She grew up volunteering in the community; this is also where she learned the values of education and began to understand that material things do not make individuals. When Hurricane Katrina occurred, rupturing the lives of many individuals, she relocated with her father to Slidell, Louisiana. With this relocation, she soon realized what true hard work was and she began to focus on furthering her education; so that, she could continue to help people in the community on a greater scale. Soon after she finished her shooling, majoring in Business and returning for International Business, Toysun began to further research the state of Louisiana and particularly the cities of Slidell and New Orleans. Traveling back and forth from Minnesota to Louisiana, Toysun soon noticed major differences within the community and the activities. After realizing the lack of community involvement and, for lack of better words, "lack of selflessness," Toysun soon developed a program focusing on volunteering, education, and community activities (free of violence and drugs). Many of Toysun's programs, events, and ideas she contributes to her youth in Minnesota and their efforts to keep families involved in the community and church functions.
