Raymond Berke is a highly decorated veteran of the NYPD. Beginning in 1981 as a beat cop in Brooklyn, New York, Berke learned the ins and outs of police work on the hard streets of Brownsville. After receiving a promotion to Detective, he quickly learned the politics of dealing with high profile crimes, as well as wealthy or well-known persons. Sometimes these people were victims, and sometimes perpetrators. His investigations have been the leading stories on news programs, and featured on television shows such as The Learning Channel, The Discovery Channel, and the BBC. His cases have been featured in the New York Times, New York Post, New York Daily News, and Newsday, as well as magazines and books. From simple suicides to the most depraved murderers -- from small time robbery to the high society thieves -- Berke's investigations spanned the gamut of life and death in the Big Apple.
