Reading through the Bible in a year several times fueled Christy Schuette's strong belief that daily time with the Lord studying His Word is the best way to grow and develop faith. In response to this, she created a year-long devotional called A Journey Through the Bible. Now, she returns to help readers further strengthen their relationship with God and gain a deeper understanding of His Word in A Deeper Journey Through The Bible.

Each day follows the same reading plan as before, consisting of passages from the Old and New Testaments, a psalm and a proverb, and new devotional reflections. In just thirty minutes every day, readers will deepen their understanding of God's Word as they focus on biblical figures with powerful stories, historical insight of biblical times, inspiring personal stories, and more. As the year passes, readers will grow in their understanding of who God is, develop a more intimate relationship with Him, and discover why it is necessary to read His Word every year.

Christy Coleman Schuette was born and raised in Arab, Alabama. She graduated with a bachelor's in social work from Auburn University and a master's in social work from the University of Alabama. Now residing in Bowling Green, Kentucky with her husband, Brian, she is the proud mother of two daughters, mother-in-law of two sons-in-law, and the "Honey" to her granddaughter. Christy has written VBS curricula and Bible studies for all age groups and has served in her church through a variety of ministries. Her passion is discipleship and helping others grow closer to Jesus through His Word.
