THE BIG WIND (Story 2)
Over the years, many people had lived on the high meadow beside the box canyon, including those of the tipi village a hundred years ago. Now, thirteen-year-old Caitlyn lives on the same high meadow. She visits the same canyon with the river running through it. She feels the same sunshine and rain and even the whirling cone of wind dropping out of the clouds-that fearsome funnel of air and debris known as the twister. Staying safe would not be easy.
-ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Ms. Joann Klusmeyer is the daughter of pioneer missionary parents. She grew up in rural Arkansas and learned and served in the little country church her father built and then pastored. She later moved to Oklahoma and now resides in an area settled by the Great Land Rush of 1889.
